Wolfach ist eine Stadt im Mittleren Schwarzwald und gehört zum Ortenaukreis in Baden-Württemberg . Wolfach war bis zum 31. Dezember 1972 die Kreisstadt des gleichnamigen Landkreises.
Wolfach liegt am Zusammenfluss von Wolf und Kinzig im Kinzigtal. Der Wechsel von Tal und Berglagen kennzeichnet das Stadtgebiet, das von 250 bis 880 m Meereshöhe reicht. Selbst Teil des Ortenaukreises, grenzt es an die Landkreise Freudenstadt und Rottweil.
