Chorweiler ist der nördlichste Stadtbezirk von Köln. Zum Stadtbezirk gehören die Stadtteile Blumenberg, Chorweiler, Esch/Auweiler, Fühlingen, Heimersdorf, Lindweiler, Merkenich , Pesch, Roggendorf/Thenhoven, Seeberg, Volkhoven/Weiler und Worringen.
Durch die Randlage – der eigentliche Stadtteil Chorweiler liegt ca. 14 Kilometer nördlich vom Kölner Stadtzentrum entfernt – ist der Stadtbezirk in Norden und Westen umgeben von Wald- und Ackerflächen und den Rheinwiesen, die den Bezirk östlich begrenzen. Der Stadtbezirk Chorweiler ist der einzige Kölner Außenstadtbezirk, der nicht an den Stadtbezirk Innenstadt angrenzt.
