Karl Deutsch ist der Name eines Familienunternehmens, das sich mit der Entwicklung und Herstellung von Geräten für die zerstörungsfreie Werkstoffprüfung befasst. Der Firmensitz befindet sich in Wuppertal im Stadtbezirk Elberfeld-West.
Im Jahre 1948 nahm Karl Deutsch an der Hannover Messe mit dem Prototyp eines Schichtdickenmessgerätes teil. Ein Jahr später gründete Karl Deutsch seine Firma in Wuppertal. In den Anfängen wurden vor allem Geräte und Maschinen für die Ultraschallprüfung sowie für die Rissprüfung entwickelt und hergestellt. Anfang der 1960er Jahre wurden Magnetpulverrissprüfgeräte in die Produktpalette aufgenommen. 1961 steigt Volker Deutsch als Geschäftsführer in das Unternehmen ein.
