Sprötze ist ein Stadtteil der Stadt Buchholz in der Nordheide im niedersächsischen Landkreis Harburg. Nach der 1972 durchgeführten Gebietsreform wurde die ehemals selbstständige Gemeinde Sprötze eine Ortschaft der Stadt Buchholz bei Hamburg.
Sprötze grenzt im Norden und Osten an den zu Buchholz gehörenden Ortsteil Trelde, im Süden an die Gemeinde Tostedt und im Westen an Kakenstorf. Es liegt an der Bundesstraße 3 zwischen Rade und Welle und wird vom Sprötzer Bach durchflossen, der in einer im Gemeindegebiet Kakenstorf liegenden Buchholzer Exklave in die Este fließt. Südöstlich der Ortschaft liegt mit dem etwa 129 m hohen, heidebewachsenen Brunsberg eine der höchsten Erhebungen Norddeutschlands. Von hier lässt sich die Nordheide, der nördlichste Teil der Lüneburger Heide, überblicken. Südlich von Sprötze schließt sich das Waldgebiet Lohbergen an.
