Pocking ist eine Stadt im niederbayerischen Landkreis Passau. Pocking gilt als Hauptort der Rottaler Pferdezucht.
Die Stadt liegt inmitten der Pockinger Heide, einer weitläufigen, fruchtbaren Ebene. Zwei Flüsse, Rott und Inn fließen nahe an Pocking vorbei, außerdem wird die Stadt gern als der Mittelpunkt des niederbayerischen Bäderdreiecks bezeichnet. Pocking befindet sich rund 30 km südlich von Vilshofen an der Donau, 25 km südwestlich von Passau, 12 km vom oberösterreichischen Schärding, 25 km nordöstlich von Simbach am Inn und 30 km östlich von Pfarrkirchen.
