Das Münsterland ist eine Region im nordwestlichen Westfalen im Land Nordrhein-Westfalen. Zentrum des Münsterlandes ist die namensgebende Großstadt und ehemalige Provinzialhauptstadt Westfalens, Münster. Je nachdem, ob in historischem, naturräumlichem, gesellschaftlichem oder politischem Kontext betrachtet, lässt es sich unterschiedlich eingrenzen. Der Landschaftsübergang zum Teutoburger Wald im Nordosten, der Flusslauf der Lippe im Süden und die Staatsgrenze zu den Niederlanden im Westen werden zumeist als äußere Grenzen angesehen.
