Rundwanderweg durch überwiegend Waldwege von der Ebene (Bördeland) hinauf nach Mariawald (Nationalpark Eifel).

Anspruchsvolle Tour unterwegs mit längeren Anstiegen hoch nach Mariawald. Durchgehende Beschilderung ist nicht vorhanden. Orientierung an Wanderkarte Rureifel / Nationalpark Eifel oder wandern mittels GPS Navigation.
Wanderverlauf: Hergarten-Heimbachtal-hoch nach Mariawald-kurz vor Wolfgarten zurück über Schafbachtal.

Parkplatz:  Hergarten    
Start : Ab Parkplatz Mariawald
Tipps: Festes Schuhwerk, -Freizeitkleidung. Nehmen Sie Getränke mit. Einkehrmöglichkeit in Mariawald oder Heimbach.
Schwierigkeit: mittelschwere Wanderung mit Anstiege, Grundkondition empfehlenswert.
Wanderverlauf: Hergarten-Heibachtal-hoch nach Mariawald-kurz vor Wolfgarten zurück über Schafbachtal.
