Der Cornubische Batholith ist ein Batholith aus Granit, der vor rund 280 Millionen Jahren im Unterperm entstanden war. Er unterlagert einen Großteil der südwestlichen Halbinsel Großbritanniens und tritt in Dartmoor, Bodmin Moor, um St Austell, Carnmenellis, am Land’s End und auf den Isles of Scilly zu Tage. Im engen Zusammenhang mit der Intrusion stehen sehr bedeutende Mineralvorkommen, insbesondere das Zinnerz Cassiterit, das bereits seit 2000 v. Chr. hier abgebaut wird. Ebenfalls zugegen sind Erze von Kupfer, Blei, Zink und Wolfram. Von Bedeutung ist auch der Abbau von Kaolin für die Porzellanmanufaktur.
