Als Rhynie Chert bezeichnet man die fossilführenden Hornsteine aus dem Unteren Devon nahe der Ortschaft Rhynie in der schottischen Grafschaft Aberdeenshire. Meist wird auch die ganze Fossillagerstätte so genannt. Bekannt ist er für die frühen Landpflanzen Rhynia, Aglaophyton, Horneophyton und Asteroxylon.
