Bei den Olympischen Spielen 2012 in London wurden vom 28. Juli bis 5. August 2012 fünf Wettbewerbe im Tennis ausgetragen, Einzel für Frauen und Männer sowie Doppel für Frauen, Männer und Mixed. Die Spiele fanden auf dem Gelände des All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club in Wimbledon statt. Der Centre Court bat 15.000 Zuschauern Platz und ist seit 2009 mit einem herausfahrbaren Dach ausgestattet.
Es wurde damit ein Wettbewerb mehr ausgetragen als in Peking 2008. Am 10. Dezember 2009 entschied das IOC auf seiner Sitzung in Lausanne, erstmals seit Paris 1924 wieder ein Mixed-Doppel zu veranstalten. Erstmals seit Antwerpen 1920 fand das Olympische Tennisturnier wieder auf Rasen statt.
