Die Festung Fenestrelle ist die größte Festungsanlage Europas und nach der chinesischen Mauer das nächstgrößte Mauerwerk. Sie besteht aus den drei Festungen San Carlo, Tre Denti und Delle Valli, die miteinander durch einen Tunnel verbunden sind, in dem die längste gedeckte Treppe Europas mit fast 4000 Stufen verläuft.
