In der Meerser Koegriend entlang der Maas stehen fünfzehn Baumstämme, die den Eindruck erwecken, dass hier ein Wald abgebrannt ist. Die Wahrheit ist jedoch anders. Die Bäume sind 1400 bis 1700 Jahre alt und sind Teil eines neuen Denkmals, Woodhenge. Die Bäume kamen bei Abgrabungen in Stevensweert aus dem Kies hervor. Sie symbolisieren die Kraft der Mutter Natur.
