The St. Rumbold's Cathedral in Mechelen is the main church of the Archdiocese of Mechelen-Brussels. As the seat of the metropolitan of the Belgian church province, it is the metropolitan church of Belgium. The cathedral is especially famous for its tower, which stands over 97 meters high and features two carillons. The tower is part of a group of 56 belfries and church towers in Belgium and France that is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site.
