Buken is a village in the Belgian province of Flemish Brabant and a part of the municipality of Kampenhout. It was an independent municipality until it was merged with Kampenhout in 1977.
Buken is located in the eastern part of the merged municipality of Kampenhout along the road from Leuven to Mechelen that cuts through the village. In the northern part of the district, the Leuven-Dijle Canal runs. The village center is situated in the southeast corner of the district and connects to the buildings of the hamlet of Beneden-Veltem to the east and south, which administratively belongs to the municipality of Herent but is ecclesiastically part of the parish of Buken. Due to its location, Buken has developed from an agricultural village into a residential village.
