Diksmuide has 14 rural districts. Each village has its own parish church and a rural character that radiates a certain charm over the police villages. There are artistic gems among them. A standout is the strikingly colored Orthodox church of the Monastery in the Russian rite near Oostkerke. The abbot, Father Thomas, explains their rite and the numerous icons. Formal attire is requested.
