Hof ten Berg is another example of the agricultural origins of the Brussels suburbs. It is probably the oldest and largest farm in Woluwe-Saint-Lambert. The farm, which spans an area of over 100 hectares, was first mentioned in 1117 and owes its name to the slope on which it is situated. Two remnants of the vast estate of the time remain: the living quarters and the stables, which were converted into small workers’ houses. Two dates appear on the façade: 1657, the date of the first restoration, and 1750, the date of the reconstruction of the building as we know it today.
