Not spectacular, but simply nice to take a walk.

Did you know: Poppel is part of the Noorderkempen. The flat, sandy landscape varies in height between 21 and 31 meters. Since 1850, there has been extraction, leading to the creation of estates like De Schrieken and coniferous forests. Molenheide, a forest in the far north, borders the Dutch nature reserve Gorp and Roovert.

To the east of the village center flows the stream Aa or Rovertse Leij, while in the west of the village runs the Poppelse Leij.
