Tijl and Nele walking path 5 km

We start our walk at the town hall on Bruwierplein. We walk to the right of the building and reach Arthur Coussensstraat via Josué Duponlaan, which we follow to the right.

We cross this street and arrive at St. Michielskerk through a small alley. This alley was formerly called "Klokkenluidersstraat," today "Markt."

The path turns left, past Huize Zonnevreugde, towards Mexicostraat. From Mexicostraat, we head to a higher area, away from all the hustle and bustle of the center. Where Mexicostraat turns left, we continue straight ahead and uphill on Panoramastraat.

On Panoramastraat, we fully enjoy a magnificent panorama: the apartment buildings along the coast, the sturdy neo-Romanesque St. Michielstoren in the valley of Blekerijbeek, and the sharp tower of St. Martinuskerk in Koekelare.

Past the farm "Swolberg" with the Mary chapel, you take the road to the right and descend via Bergstraat and Swolstraat, which form the road between Koekelare and Ichtegem.

You continue along this road until Brouwerijstraat, where you return to St. Michielskerk.
