Kranenburg is a municipality located in the Lower Rhine region on the Dutch border close to Nijmegen. It is part of the district of Kleve and is part of the Euregio Rhine-Waal. Since the opening of Europe's internal borders, Kranenburg has been popular as a place of residence for Dutch people from the border region.
