Burg is a health resort situated in the heart of the Spreewald. The town has lots to offer: modern thermal spas, the Spa Gardens and Saga Park, popular Spreewald punting tours – and this Spreewald hiking trail. This route combines the experience of a vibrant health resort with pure outdoor pleasure in the Spreewald. Smaller farms and other buildings appear along the pathway from time to time, but the region around Burg im Spreewald is excellent for hiking.
The tour is excellent but can be a challenge for dog owners. If you encounter farm animals on the pastures near the path, special care and consideration is required.
During the period from October to March, the hike is stress-free for dogs, too.
