8 stages lead along the beautiful Weser river from Hann. Münden in the south to Cuxhaven or, in the case of the alternative route via Butjadingen to Eckwarderhörne in the north. Large parts of the Weser cycle path run in the form of a main route and a respective alternative on both sides of the river.
