Although the name suggests it, the Massenei circular trail does not lead exclusively through the forest area, but also a considerable part through the town of Großröhrsdorf. The hike starts at the Rödertalstadion in Großröhrsdorf, but there is a connection to the local train station. The hiking trail is marked throughout with the green dot.
