AzureThe route starts at the former Pronsfeld station, which is now set up as a parking lot for tourists.
First, follow the paved cycle path over the former railway line to Waxweiler.
Then it goes through many climbs and climbs, with the climb to the Geweberhof, the scenic valley of the river Kyl, being very remarkable. There they climb out of the valley a few times (e.g. to the Erntehof and the Salmer Höhe).
Via Schönecken it goes back to Pronsfeld with some hard climbs. Characteristic are the very quiet roads in this area, with generally excellent asphalt. An exception is the road from Salm to Birresborn, which (at least in 2014) has a rather bumpy road surface.
