The Molí de Ca l'Espona or Molí Gros is a building in Sant Joan de les Abadesses included in the Inventory of the Architectural Heritage of Catalonia.
The old Molí Gros or Molí ca l'Espona is a construction of the eighteenth century and was remodeled in 1928, preserving the popular style, with rationalist and late noucentista elements inside. It is built taking advantage of the unevenness of the land so that the first floor, on the side of the river and the factory, is ground floor. At one end of the first floor it has a covered courtyard and at the opposite end a small tower with a covered roof. Under the courtyard there is a large stone arcade with a wooden gate door. It is built of stone and painted white minus the crushed stone ashlars in the corners and those framing the windows. The main door is that of the old mill, nailed and with an original lock, and is located in the lowest part of the building.
