Mont Noir Military Cemetery is a British military cemetery with fallen of the First World War located in the French commune of Sint-Jans-Cappel in the Nord department. The cemetery is located in the north of the municipality, about half a kilometer from the Belgian border, on the southern flanks of the Zwarteberg. There are 151 British dead, 17 of which are unidentified. The cemetery is maintained by the Commonwealth War Graves Commission. The land has an area of 1,315 m². On the north side is the Cross of Sacrifice.
The Zwarteberg had been in Allied hands since October 1914 and remained so for the following years. During the German Spring Offensive of 1918, the hill was preserved. In the period from April to September 1918 the cemetery was laid out and at the end of the war there were 91 British and 33 French people here. The cemetery was expanded after the war with French and British graves from the battlefields to the south and with graves from the vacated Wolfhoek British Cemetery in Sint-Jans-Cappel. Of the 149 British graves from the First World War, 15 have not been identified. In addition, 84 Frenchmen from the First World War are buried there. In the Second World War, two unknown Britons were buried here.
