Clermont-Ferrand is a city in the south of France located about 170 kilometers west of Lyon. Throughout its history, the city has always been known as 2 separate cities, namely the cities of Clairmont and Montferrand. However, due to their proximity and very closely related history, it was decided in 1630 that the two were to go on living as 1 city under the name of Clermont-Ferrand. Nowadays the old center of Clairmont has become the center of the new city and the walk takes you there of course. Eye-catchers such as the Cathédrale Notre-Dame-de-l'Assomption, the Place de Jaude, the Fontaine du Terrail, ... and a dozen others will ensure that you will not soon forget a trip to this beautiful city!
