Borger is a town in the Dutch province of Drenthe. Borger is located on the Hondsrug, in the municipality of Borger-Odoorn. On 1 January 2006 Borger had (according to information from the municipality of Borger-Odoorn) 4920 inhabitants (2341 men and 2579 women).
Borger is known for the largest dolmen in the Netherlands, the D27. In the vicinity of Borger there are 5 other dolmens. The new Hunebedcentrum is also located in Borger, near the dolmen D27. Here you will find a lot of information and history about dolmens in the Netherlands.
