The Via Belgica is a long distance route that I walk in parts. This is one of the most beautiful parts and runs from Kunrade to Heerlen or vice versa. More information about this route and the Roman past, check out the website. This route is best to walk around Ascension Day and Pentecost, because then the wild orchids are in bloom on the Kunderberg over which the route runs.
