Famous poet and writer Edgar Allen Poe is burried on the graveyard of Westminster Hall. So far, his death on October 7 1849, is still a mystery. Research showed he must have had a lot of toxic effect of elements such as alcohol (he liked a frequent drink), lead and mercury (from the Calomel medicine he took against cholera), which might have head a big effect on his writing, but not leading to his death.
Every year, since 1949, on January 19, a mystery man brings 3 roses and half a bottle of cognac to the grave of Edgar Allan Poe. The world famous Toast to Poe at his gravesite is also held on his birthday, a Baltimore tradition since 1983.
