La sempervivum (Sempervivum tectorum), también conocida como planta de casa, se encontraba antiguamente en todos los edificios bajos de las granjas locales. Según la creencia popular, ofrece protección contra los rayos y las hojas también serían un remedio contra el dolor de garganta. En Alemania, esta plantita se llama en algunos lugares Donatuswurz, refiriéndose al santo del trueno Donato cuya veneración surgió en 1652 en Alemania y que ha sido venerado en la iglesia parroquial de Poesele desde 1860.
