Waregem es la quinta ciudad de Flandes Occidental con algo más de 38,000 habitantes. Esta vibrante "ciudad en galope" tiene muchos atractivos turísticos. Durante una visita al cementerio americano Flanders Field y/o al centro de visitantes HIPPO.WAR en el hipódromo Gaverbeek, podrás aprender más sobre la historia bélica de Waregem. El hipódromo Gaverbeek es el más conocido de Flandes. Anualmente se organizan numerosas competiciones en diferentes disciplinas: carreras de trote, evento ecuestre, doma, ... Waregem Koerse es el día más importante de Waregem y da lugar a una semana repleta de festividades. Siempre hay algo que hacer en Waregem: conciertos, ferias, espectáculos, ...
