Bockor se elabora aquí en la cervecería de Bockor. Omer Vander Ghinste fue el cervecero que hizo Bockor. Bockor tenía numerosos cafés. Café Sportwereld en las cercanías es uno de ellos. Para hacer algo de publicidad, Omer Vande Ghinste colocó ventanas de marca en los cafés con su nombre y el nombre de la cerveza. Cuando llegó su hijo, también se le llamó Omer, porque al ser asumido por el hijo no era necesario cambiar esas ventanas de marca que eran costosas. Así continuó la tradición. Ahora ya son 5 generaciones de Omer. También han llamado a su cerveza más nueva Omer.
