El Puerto de Bruselas es un puerto interior, accesible para barcos de hasta 4500 toneladas y convoyes de empujadores de hasta 9000 toneladas. A través del Canal Bruselas-Escalda, incluso barcos de mar pueden alcanzar el puerto de entrada, y a través del Canal Charleroi-Bruselas se asegura el tránsito hacia la Región Valona. La mayor parte del puerto se encuentra en la expansión norte de Bruselas.
