La iglesia del Sagrado Corazón es la iglesia parroquial de Winterslag, situada en Evence Coppéeplaats 2, y una de las llamadas catedrales mineras, construida por encargo de los propietarios de la mina de carbón de Winterslag. A diferencia de las otras catedrales mineras en Limburgo belga, esta no está construida con ladrillo, sino con piedra de ruptura. La iglesia de cruz está construida en estilo ecléctico con elementos neoromanos según el diseño de Adrien Blomme. Se construyó entre 1923 y 1925. La baja torre cuadrada está integrada en la fachada principal y está cubierta por un pináculo en forma de casco. Son notables los contrafuertes y la pequeña torre de crucero. En 2020, la iglesia reabrió tras una profunda renovación de 8 meses, se renovó todo el interior y la iglesia también recibió nuevo mobiliario. El nuevo altar fue hecho de la madera de los antiguos bancos.
