Desde la calle se puede ver a lo lejos el Edificio de la Bolsa, donde industriales adinerados iban a presentar sus acciones en persona. Las casas que delimitan la calle son bloques de apartamentos elegantes para la población más rica que pertenece al prestigio del Edificio de la Bolsa. Cuando te alejas de la Bolsa, llegas a Molenbeek, que en el siglo XIX y XX fue llamado el Manchester del continente.
El barrio de Dansaert es el barrio flamenco de Bruselas y también se habla de los 'Dansaertvlamingen'. En algún momento, aquí vivían los 'Hombres Complicados' juntos en el gran edificio de apartamentos con el fresco exótico en el último piso. Los hombres son Marc Didden, Josse De Pauw, Arno Hintjens, Dominique Deruddere y Jan Decorte. También han desaparecido del barrio los industriales adinerados que iban a vender sus acciones en la bolsa.
