La Calvario en el antiguo cementerio de Herselt fue realizada en 1914 por la empresa Janssens de Westmeerbeek. Esta empresa se especializaba en construcciones en hormigón rústico, imitando formaciones rocosas y monumentos con ladrillos y hormigón. Era muy conocida y realizó grutas de Lourdes y monumentos religiosos en toda Bélgica y más allá. De la gran calvario que se ideó en 1914, hoy en día solo queda la parte central, que se está restaurando desde la primavera de 2020 por encargo de la fábrica de la iglesia de San Servacio de Herselt.
