El distrito de Courtelary es uno de los antiguos veintiséis distritos del cantón de Berna , ubicado en el noroeste del cantón con una superficie de 266 km². La capital del distrito era Courtelary.
El distrito de Courtelary fue uno de los tres distritos francófonos del cantón de Berna, junto con La Neuveville y Moutier, que forman la región del Jura bernés . Limita al noreste con el distrito de Moutier, al sureste con Büren, al sur con los distritos de Biel-Bienne y La Neuveville, al suroeste con el Val-de-Ruz , al oeste con La Chaux-de-Fonds , al noroeste con el distrito de Franches-Montagnes , y al este con el distrito de Lebern .
