El Castillo de Caputh se encuentra en el distrito de Caputh del municipio de Schwielowsee, cerca de la capital de Brandeburgo, Potsdam, a orillas del lago Templiner. Pertenece a la Fundación de Castillos y Jardines Prusianos de Berlín-Brandeburgo y fue residencia de verano de las electorales de Brandeburgo desde finales del siglo XVI hasta finales del siglo XVII.
El Castillo de Caputh es el único castillo conservado del paisaje cultural de Potsdam de la época del Gran Elector Federico Guillermo y del Barroco temprano de Brandeburgo. Fue restaurado principalmente entre 1995 y 1999 por la Fundación de Castillos y Jardines Prusianos por un total de nueve millones y medio de marcos alemanes, así como con fondos de la Fundación Cultural Cornelsen.
