Tres Cantos es un municipio y villa española de la Comunidad de Madrid, situada a 22 kilómetros al norte de la capital, en la corona metropolitana, en el eje de la M-607.Formaba parte de Colmenar Viejo, hasta su segregación en 1991. Se llama Tres Cantos por el nombre de un vértice geodésico próximo a los terrenos donde se creó la ciudad. Por su proximidad a la ciudad de Madrid, se erige como ciudad dormitorio de la capital, pero también como ciudad de negocios, ya que multitud de empresas tienen su sede en Tres Cantos.
