La basílica de los mártires de Santa Eulalia de Mérida es un edificio religioso situado en la ciudad de Mérida (España). Se puede considerar como un centro muy importante para el nacimiento del cristianismo en la península.
Según los investigadores, fue el primer templo cristiano que se estableció en Hispania tras la Paz del emperador Constantino; esta iglesia fue construida como basílica de mártires en memoria de Eulalia de Mérida; por esta razón, durante el amanecer de la Edad Media, se convirtió en un lugar de peregrinaciones que llegaban desde el oeste europeo y el norte de África; al mismo tiempo, las noticias sobre la muerte martirial de su dueña se propagaron por el Imperio Romano y con sus reliquias se fundaron numerosas iglesias, especialmente en Europa Occidental.
Además de la iglesia, se representa a Santiago como peregrino, lo que hace que esta iglesia sea interesante para los peregrinos que caminan hacia Santiago de Compostela.
