Abandonando el alto Ebro por la vieja ruta jacobea
Ruta alternativa hasta Haro, esta variante del GR 99 sale de Miranda y tras cruzar el río Zadorra se dirige a Zambrana por la vieja Ruta jacobea, de la que se pueden contemplar distintos vestigios durante todo el recorrido. Se remonta más adelante el barranco de Valgorda en dirección a Buradon Gatzaga/Salinillas de Buradón, desde donde se asciende al collado de San Cristóbal, enclavado en plena sierra de Toloño, catalogada como Espacio Relevante del País Vasco. El descenso al valle se realiza por una pista de gran pendiente que lleva hasta las primeras viñas, con vistas a Briñas y las Conchas de Haro. En el puente medieval de esta localidad se conecta con la etapa 13.
