Tras cruzar el embalse, se ofrecen dos alternativas para continuar el recorrido: una de ellas es seguir por la BA-137, mientras que la otra aprovecha el antiguo camino de servicio del pantano, una carretera sin apenas uso que emplean los pescadores para acceder a algunos lugares en la ribera del Guadiana y que termina en el punto kilométrico 425 de la propia BA-137.
