A una altitud de aproximadamente 720 metros, entre laderas boscosas, se encuentra el lugar Ax Les Thermes. En este lugar confluyen los ríos Lauze y Oriege. Ya en la época romana, Ax Les Thermes era conocido como un balneario. En la actualidad, todavía se pueden encontrar sesenta fuentes termales diferentes, algunas de las cuales alcanzan temperaturas superiores a los 75 grados. En los alrededores hay mucho que hacer y es una excelente área para los turistas deportivos que desean realizar hermosas caminatas por las montañas.
