el monumento no está abierto al público y ofrece una vista panorámica de la ciudad de Givet (orillas izquierda y derecha). Un poco de historia... La torre conocida como "Grégoire", a la que habría que devolver su antiguo nombre de "Saint Grégoire" por el nombre de la capilla que estaba cerca, es sin duda uno de los edificios más antiguos de Givet. Ya en el siglo XI, y probablemente en el emplazamiento de un puesto militar mucho más antiguo, vigilaba el río para asegurar la recaudación de peajes para los condes de Agimont. Posteriormente fue muy modificada, probablemente en el siglo XV o XVI, y muy restaurada bajo el mandato de Napoleón III. Sin embargo, los pisos inferiores han conservado su forma original.
