Agrigento es una ciudad y municipio italiano, capital de la provincia homónima, que se encuentra en la costa sur de la isla de Sicilia. Es conocida como el lugar donde se alzaba la antigua ciudad griega de Acragante, una de las ciudades más destacadas de la Magna Grecia durante la Edad de Oro de la Antigua Grecia.[3] Tiene unos 60 000 habitantes. El Valle de los Templos está declarado Patrimonio de la Humanidad por la Unesco.
