La Abadía de Montecasino es una abadía benedictina situada en la cima de una colina del Valle Latino, a unos 130 km al sur de Roma; una milla al oeste de la ciudad de Cassino y a unos 520 metros de altitud. Está en el sur de la región italiana del Lacio. Es célebre por ser el lugar donde San Benito de Nursia estableció su primer monasterio, origen de la orden benedictina, alrededor del año 529, y por ser el lugar de varias batallas hacia el final de la Segunda Guerra Mundial.
