El Nassfeld en los Alpes Cárnicos es un paso entre el Gail austriaco y el valle del Canal italiano. La altura del paso se encuentra a 1530 m sobre el nivel del mar, y las montañas circundantes son el Gartnerkofel, el Rosskofel y el Trogkofel. El Gartnerkofel es conocido por la presencia del "Kuhtritt", una rara y endémica flor de montaña.
