La diócesis de Trapani es una sede de la Iglesia católica sufragánea de la arquidiócesis de Palermo, perteneciente a la región eclesiástica Sicilia. En 2014 contaba con unos 203.100 bautizados sobre una población de 204.600 habitantes. Su obispo actual es Pietro Maria Fragnelli.[1]
La diócesis comprende la ciudad de Trapani y los municipios de la parte septentrional de la provincia de Trapani, a saber: Paceco, Valderice, Erice, San Vito Lo Capo, Custonaci, Buseto Palizzolo, Castellammare del Golfo, Alcamo, Calatafimi-Segesta, Islas Egadas. Limita con las arquidiócesis de Palermo al este y la diócesis de Mazara del Vallo al sur.[2]
