La iglesia fue construida en los primeros años del siglo XVII en nombre de los Caballeros de Jerusalén, también conocidos como la Compañía de los Diez Mil Mártires.
La estructura actual muestra una fachada sencilla y los motivos decorativos recuerdan los temas del martirio, como las palmeras y el laurel. En el centro de la estructura hay un medallón de estuco que contiene a San Acacio y sus 9.000 soldados que, junto con otros 1.000 paganos, fueron torturados por el emperador romano porque su conversión al cristianismo se consideraba traición.
La estructura está actualmente (2023) abandonada.
