Probablemente el nombre "Nuestra Señora de la Rama de Aliso" proviene del aliso bajo el cual se encuentra la capilla.
Esta capilla fue consagrada en mayo de 1935 por el párroco Verbunt.
La iniciativa para la construcción de esta capilla provino de la Asociación Juvenil Católica. El vecindario reunió los fondos necesarios.
Las piedras para la construcción de la capilla fueron traídas en tranvía desde Bélgica al antiguo tranvía en Kruispad. Desde allí fueron llevadas a Tiggelt.
El terreno fue cedido por la viuda Roovers. La figura original fue reemplazada por la que está actualmente. Esta imagen fue donada por la señora C. Maas-Roovers.
